After vocational training and studies in the field of general electrical engineering, I have been working in various areas of telecommunications for almost 40 years. In 2019, I was gripped by the idea of setting up campus networks with their own exclusive frequency range, as I firmly believe that this would offer a solution to close the gaps that have existed to date. At siticom / Logicalis, I built up the 5G Solution & Services division and helped implement some remarkable projects. Since July 2024, I have been self-employed as a consultant in the field of campus networks and have been supporting AiVader GmbH in business development since October. At the same time, I am a guest researcher at TU Ilmenau.
5G has opened up new horizons in transmission technology, and with 5+/6G these are ripe for solutions for use in business-critical processes.
